Wine

The Talmud Shabbat starts a new perek on page 76b and continues in 77 about carrying wine on shabbat. Interestingly it does not talk about the size of the pitcher, the dimension of the pitcher. It talks about the strength of the wine. Whether it is diluted wine, full strength wine or even, if it dried out and therefore lesser in form or volume.

How the Shikker Dovid has thought about this all day. What great moral lessons to gleaned? The Shikker Dovid would like to point to what the Talmud is focusing on- not the amount, but the quality, the strength. The lesson is look at the quality, rather the quantity. Measure not by the obvious, but the closer inspection. But the most important lesson of the Shikker Dovid- drink wine.
